Fantastical Animals

Fantastical Animals

OPENING RECEPTION: January 3, 4:00-7:00 PM. Dates and times subject to change. Please sign our guest list to receive the latest updates about this exhibition.

Inspired by the work of Marnie Weber—who was one of the first creatives to ever walk through the doors at Al’s Bar—we’re examining the depiction of animals as they appear in the imaginary worlds dreamed up by artists. It’s a weird and wonderful and sometimes disturbing journey. We’re proud to announce that, besides Marnie, Alexandra Wiesenfeld, Deedee Cheriel, Satoko Okuno, Anthony Ausgang, Paige Perkins, Rick Potts, Debbie Korbel, Elena Rendina and Emily Leland Harris have also confirmed for the exhibition. Together they demonstrate the boundless avenues of expression that artists use to tell stories, confer meaning and evoke emotions, through the depiction of fantastical animals.
